THE TOWN OF SANTIAGO

Originally home to the Pericú nomadic group, this area of the Baja has been around for over 300 years. The Jesuits founded a mission here to evangelize the town and to this day the people of Santiago uphold their traditions and way of life. It is a small town with a wise old soul that continues to enrich the Baja Peninsula with its natural beauty and charm. The town serves as a sort of base for all the outdoor activities and natural wonders that surround it. It has a quaint, off-the-grid feel to its streets and people.

SEASONAL WEATHER

In the summer the days are sunny and hot so make sure to pack a bathing suit and plenty of sunscreen. In the winter, the nights are chilly and the days are warm, so make sure to pack a jacket and a sweater. The proximity to the lagoon can attract a fair amount of bugs and insects. We keep the hotel grounds regularly fumigated but bringing a little extra bug spray is always a good idea.
